Chapter Three: The Browns Scottish Years

After their marriage in Lymington Hampshire, Ian and Vicki moved up to the North East of Scotland to Instruct and manage at the “Mains of Forrest  Riding Centre”, Fraserburgh.

The riding school went from strength to strength and soon had an excellent reputation not only for  the quality of Instruction but also for the unaffiliated shows that Ian and Vicki held at the centre. While here Ian sat and passed his Intermediate teaching exam and Vicki sat and passed her Preliminary teaching exam. Both Ian and Vicki were founder members of the Buchan Riding Club and competed successfully in Riding Club Area  teams in Dressage, Show jumping and Horse Trials .

Ian also competed in affiliated Dressage with Gaelic Lord owned by  client Alistair Garnett, the combination won the Dietsmann Dressage Festival, the Stirlingshire Dressage festival were  3rd in the Scottish dressage Championships at Medium level and won the Scottish dressage Championships at Elementary level.
